"Orlando service will provide North Country and Canadian residents with another warm weather travel option and direct travel to one of the world's premiere vacation destinations. Allegiant Air's growth in Plattsburgh continues to prove the viability of the market for air travel out of Plattsburgh International Airport. We remain very pleased with our partnership with Allegiant Air."
The Allegiant Vacations division of the company will offer low-cost packages with 19 of Orlando’s most exciting hotel properties and 17 in Daytona Beach. Partner properties include The Swan, The Dolphin, The Hilton in Lake Buena Vista and the Radisson Parkway. Low-cost packages are available to include hotel, car and amusement park tickets for additional savings.
As the only low-cost carrier providing air service between Plattsburgh and the Sunshine State, Allegiant will utilize 150-seat, MD-80 series, jet-aircraft on the route. The airline said its market research and input from local community leaders indicate the North Country and Canadian communities will welcome the new nonstop flights and low fares to Orlando as an alternative to connecting flights and long drives to other airports.
