June 4, 2008 ALLEGIANT AIR TO OFFER CALIFORNIA SUNSHINE, FLIGHTS YEAR-ROUND Bellingham, WA – Due to popular demand, Allegiant Air, LLC, will make its soon-to-be-inaugurated nonstop flights from Bellingham, Wash. to San Francisco and San Diego year-round. Originally scheduled as a seasonal service through Aug. 31, the new, all-jet service will launch service to San Francisco June 6 and flights to San Diego June 12. "We continue to be pleased with the performance of the Bellingham market," said Maurice J. Gallagher, the airline’s president and CEO. "The extension of these flights will make it easier for customers to enjoy the beautiful California coast. We are confident this new schedule will have great appeal." The new flights to San Francisco will operate three times weekly between San Francisco International Airport and Bellingham International Airport, with service Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Flights leaving Bellingham will depart at 2:10 p.m. arriving in San Francisco at 4:30 p.m. Flights will depart San Francisco at 5:20 p.m. arriving in Bellingham at 7:40 p.m. (all flight times are local.) Flights to San Diego will operate three times weekly with service Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday between San Diego International Airport and Bellingham International Airport. Flights leaving Bellingham will depart at 2:40 p.m. arriving in San Diego at 5:45 p.m. Flights will depart San Diego at 6:35 p.m. arriving in Bellingham at 9:25 p.m. (all flight times are local.) This announcement comes just after the low-cost airline launched Bellingham as an official Allegiant Air base, with two aircraft and 80 employees based at Bellingham International Airport. The airline offers service to four other vacation destinations including: Las Vegas, Phoenix, Palm Springs, Calif. and Reno, Nev.
