ALLEGIANT AIR ROLLS OUT THE RED CARPET FOR MONTEREY WITH NEW SERVICE TO SUNNY SO CAL!

ALLEGIANT AIR ANNOUNCES THE ONLY, NONSTOP AIR SERVICE BETWEEN MONTEREY TO BOTH LOS ANGELES AND SAN DIEGO: AIRLINE CELEBRATES WITH INTRODUCTORY $39* FARES

MONTEREY, Calif.Allegiant Air, LLC, today announces beginning May 3, the low-cost airline will offer low-cost, nonstop flights to both Los Angeles and San Diego from the Monterey Peninsula Airport. To celebrate, the carrier will offer introductory fares to both sunny destinations for as low as $39* each way.

"We're pleased to bring yet two more affordable and convenient ways for Monterey peninsula residents to go on vacation," Maurice J. Gallagher, Allegiant Air president & CEO, said. "This is an exciting new addition for our airline and our customers as we launch our nonstop, all jet service between Monterey and both Los Angeles and San Diego."

The new flights to Los Angeles will operate three times weekly between Monterey and Los Angeles International Airport with service and Thursday. Beginning May 3, flights will depart Monterey at 1:20 p.m. arriving in Los Angeles at 2:35 p.m. Flights leaving Los Angeles will depart at 7:25 a.m. arriving in Monterey at 8:40 a.m. (all flight times are local).

The new flights to San Diego will operate three times weekly between Monterey and San Diego International Airport with service Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. Beginning May 3, flights will depart Monterey at 9:20 a.m. arriving in San Diego at 10:40 a.m. Flights leaving San Diego will depart at 11:20 a.m. arriving in Monterey at 12:40 p.m. (all flight times are local). Allegiant Air also offers low-cost, nonstop flights to Las Vegas.

Located in the heart of sunny Southern California, Los Angeles is just minutes from some of the world's most exciting experiences. From theme parks to world-famous beaches, unsurpassed shopping to the iconic Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles is an escape from reality. Attractions like Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood keep the adrenaline pumping, while landmarks such as the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Grauman's Chinese Theater give visitors a taste of Tinsel Town. The Allegiant Vacations division of the company will offer low-cost packages with more than six of the Los Angeles area's most exciting hotel properties, including: Sheraton Universal Hotel, Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites, Hyatt Regency Long Beach, Hyatt Regency Newport Beach, Marina del Ray Marriott and The Westin Los Angeles Airport.

From family fun to romantic experiences, San Diego offers a broad variety of things to see and do. The second largest city in the state of California, visitors can enjoy 70 miles of sun-drenched coastline, the San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park, Sea World San Diego and LEGOLAND California. In addition, the area's award-winning restaurants, museums, art galleries, luxury spas and 92 golf courses make San Diego an ideal getaway destination.

Allegiant Vacations will also offer low-cost packages with eight of San Diego's premier hotel properties, including: Bahia Resort Hotel, Catamaran Resort Hotel, Four Points Sheraton, Hyatt Regency Mission Bay, Loews Coronado Bay, Sheraton Symphony Hall, The Lodge at Torrey Pines and The US Grant.

Allegiant's $39* one-way introductory fare is limited, must be purchased by March 11, 2009 and is valid for travel through Sept. 30, 2009. Introductory fares are not available on all flights. After the introductory fare period, regular one-way fares on the route start as low as $59 one-way. Allegiant will utilize 150-seat, MD-80 series, jet-aircraft on the route.

Seats are limited. Fares are one-way and not available on all flights. Must be purchased by March 11, 2009 for travel completed by Sept. 30, 2009. Offer not available May 22-25, 2009 and July 2-6, 2009. Prices do not include PFC, segment tax or Sept. 11 security fee of up to $10.60 per segment. A segment is one take-off and one landing. A convenience fee of $13.50 per passenger will apply when booked on allegiantair.com. A convenience fee of $13.50 per passenger, plus $10.00 per segment, will apply when purchased through Allegiant Air call center. Purchases made at any Allegiant Air Airport Ticket Office will not incur a convenience or call-center fee. When purchased at time of booking, a fee of $15 for first checked bag and $25 for second checked bag will apply per person, per segment. If purchased at flight check-in, a fee of $25 for the first checked bag and $35 for the second checked bag per person, per segment will apply.
