ALLEGIANT AIR ANNOUNCES RESUMPTION OF NONSTOP FLIGHTS TO ORLANDO: SHREVEPORT TO ORLANDO FOR JUST $49* ONE-WAY SHREVEPORT, La – Beginning March 7, Shreveport, La. residents can again take off, for the fun and sun of Orlando, Fla. as low-fare airline, Allegiant Air, LLC resumes the only nonstop service from Shreveport Regional Airport to the Sunshine State. To celebrate, the low-cost airline is offering a special $49* one-way fare to Orlando. "We are extremely pleased to resume our seasonal flights to the fun and sun of Orlando from Shreveport," Maurice J. Gallagher, Allegiant Air president & CEO, said. "We are confident our customers will enjoy Allegiant's unique brand of nonstop, low-cost all-jet flights to this sunny vacation destination." Beginning March 7, the self-proclaimed "Official Airline for Sunshine" will operate the seasonal service twice weekly, with service Wednesday and Saturday. Flights depart Shreveport Regional Airport at 10:55 a.m. arriving in Orlando Sanford International Airport at 2:05 p.m. Flights leaving Orlando will depart at 9:05 a.m. arriving in Shreveport at 10:15 a.m. (all flight times are local.) The low-cost airline inaugurated service to Las Vegas Jan. 18, 2006. "Orlando is one of the top destinations sought by people in this region," Cedric B. Glover, Shreveport mayor, said. "Every time Allegiant Air has expanded in Shreveport, our community benefits with low-fares and nonstop service for both families and business travelers using Shreveport Regional Airport." Raymond Alley, Chairman of the Shreveport Airport Authority, commended Allegiant Air for their commitment to Shreveport. "At a time when some airlines are reducing their service in cities across the country, Allegiant is expanding," Mr. Alley said. Allegiant's celebratory $49* one-way fare is limited, not available on all flights and must be purchased by March 14, 2009, for complete travel by July 31, 2009. About the offer: Seats are limited.
