MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Low-cost airline, Allegiant Air, LLC, a subsidiary of Allegiant Travel Company (Nasdaq: ALGT) today announced it will begin low-fare, nonstop jet service from Myrtle Beach International Airport to two Allegiant-served markets. The company announced low-cost flights to Huntington, W.V. will begin April 30 and the second city, to be announced tomorrow, will begin May 3. The airline will celebrate the convenient new service to the Tri-State with introductory fares as low as $39* one-way.

"We're extremely pleased to add Myrtle Beach to our growing roster of world-class leisure destinations," Maurice J. Gallagher, Jr., president, CEO and chairman for Allegiant, said. "This is an exciting new market for our airline and our customers. We look forward to a successful relationship with Myrtle Beach community leaders, Horry County Department of Airports, the local communities and all of our customers."

The West Virginia market is one of our most popular markets and we are excited to provide a quicker travel method for golfers to get to Myrtle Beach and get out on the golf courses."

"The flight from Huntington to Myrtle Beach will connect two great destinations." Senator John D. (Jay) Rockefeller (D-WV), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, said. "Airlines continue to see the value of adding service to West Virginia, and I know this flight will be a success. Access to Myrtle Beach will also promote tourism and economic development in the state.
