March 12, 2009 ALLEGIANT AIR BRINGS LOW FARES TO THE LOW–PRICE CAPITAL OF AMERICA ALLEGIANT AIR ROLLS OUT THE RED CARPET FOR NORTHWEST ARKANSAS WITH NONSTOP, LOW–COST FLIGHTS TO LOS ANGELES: AIRLINE CELEBRATES WITH INTRODUCTORY $99* FARES BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Low–cost airline Allegiant Air, LLC, today announces new, nonstop jet service to Los Angeles from the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA) beginning May 22. Home to the headquarters of everyday low prices, Northwest Arkansas will now have a low–fare airline option. The airline is celebrating the sunny new service from by offering fares as low as $99* one–way to the "City of Angels" known for sun, surf, sightseeing and celebrities. "We are extremely pleased to expand the Allegiant brand of low–fare, nonstop jet service to Northwest Arkansas," Maurice J. Gallagher, Allegiant Air president & CEO, said. "This is an exciting new addition for our airline and our customers as we launch the only low–fare air service and the only nonstop, air service between Northwest Arkansas and Los Angeles." The new flights will operate two times weekly between XNA and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) with service Monday and Friday. Flights will depart Northwest Arkansas at 8:05 p.m. arriving in Los Angeles at 9:25 p.m. Flights leaving Los Angeles will depart at 2:25 p.m. arriving in Northwest Arkansas at 7:25 p.m. (all flight times are local). "For some time, the Board has focused on the importance of attracting a low–cost air carrier to our market, and today we celebrate the initial success of those efforts. Located in the heart of sunny Southern California, Los Angeles is just minutes from some of the world's most exciting experiences. From theme parks to world–famous beaches, unsurpassed shopping to the iconic Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles is an escape from reality. Allegiant's $99* one–way introductory fare is limited, must be purchased by April 1, 2009 and is valid for travel through Sept. 30, 2009. Introductory fares are not available on all flights. After the introductory fare period, regular one–way fares on the route start as low as $119 one–way. Allegiant will utilize 150–seat, MD–80 series, jet–aircraft on the route. Reservations can be made on the airline's website at www.allegiantair.com, through the airline's Reservations and Information Center at 702–505–8888 or through professional travel agents. About the offer: Seats are limited. Fares are one–way and not available on all flights. Must be purchased by April 1, 2009 for travel completed by Sept. 30, 2009. Offer not available May 22–25, 2009 and July 2–6, 2009. Prices do not include PFC, segment tax or Sept. 11 security fee of up to $10.60 per segment. A segment is one take–off and one landing. A convenience fee of $13.50 per passenger will apply when booked on allegiantair.com. When purchased at time of booking, a fee of $15 for first checked bag and $25 for second checked bag will apply per person, per segment. If purchased at flight check–in, a fee of $25 for the first checked bag and $35 for the second checked bag per person, per segment will apply.
