ORLANDO A-GO-GO! ALLEGIANT
AIR INCREASES FLIGHTS FROM DES MOINES TO ORLANDO SERVICE
STARTS MAY 26
(Las Vegas, Nev.)– In response to the strong demands
of the Des Moines, Iowa market, low-cost airline Allegiant
Air, LLC, today announced that it will increase the
number of nonstop flights to the fun and sun of Orlando
each week to five even before inaugurating service.
“The Central Iowa community’s response to
our brand of low-fare, nonstop, all-jet service to Orlando
has exceeded our expectations,” Maurice J. Gallagher,
Allegiant Air president and CEO, said. “We are
pleased to announce the addition of one more weekly
flight to the sunshine of Orlando.”
The new service will begin May 26 and operate four times
weekly, with service Thursday, Friday, Saturday and
Sunday, and beginning June 27 a fifth flight on Monday.
The fifth flight is currently scheduled through Sept.
5. Flights will depart Des Moines International Airport
at 5:10 p.m. arriving at Orlando Sanford International
Airport at 8:55p.m. Flights leaving Orlando will depart
at 2:40 p.m. arriving in Des Moines at 4:35 p.m. (all
flight times are local.) Allegiant will utilize full-size,
130-seat MD-87 jet aircraft on the route.

is this type of support that will continue to bring
expanded air service to our community.”
The Allegiant Vacations division of the company will
offer low-cost packages with 18 of Orlando’s most
exciting hotel properties and three in Daytona Beach.
Partner properties include The Swan, The Dolphin, The
Hilton in Lake Buena Vista and the Radisson Parkway.
