The Las Vegas-based, low-fare airline inaugurated service from the Bismarck Municipal Airport to McCarran International Airport (Las Vegas) May 7, 2004.

Allegiant Air will complete its first year of service achieving several milestones. More than 29,000 seats have been sold (approximately 14,500 passengers) and monthly load factors ran an average of 80 percent. Since starting service, the number of passengers flying to Vegas from Bismarck has nearly tripled and at fares 37 percent less in price compared to fares the year prior to Allegiant entering the market.

Allegiant currently maintains scheduled service two days weekly—Monday and Friday. Flights depart Bismarck at 12:15 p.m. and arrive in Las Vegas at 1:05 p.m. Returning from Las Vegas, the flight departs Vegas at 7:00 a.m. and arrives in Bismarck at 11:30 a.m. (all flight times are local). The carrier utilizes full-size, 150-seat, MD-80 jet aircraft on the route.
