Allegiant Air Kicks Off Service to Las Vegas From MidAmerica St. Louis Airport With Elvis Karaoke, Roulette Spins for Tickets -
Inaugural Flight Event Begins at 7 p.m. Friday, April 29

Mascoutah, Ill. April 19, 2005 — Allegiant Air’s nonstop service to Las Vegas from MidAmerica St. Louis Airport will begin with a First Flight party Friday evening, April 29, complete with Vegas showgirl, Elvis impersonator, roulette wheel spins for prizes , and even an Elvis karaoke contest offering round-trip tickets as prizes.
Activities begin at 7 p.m. at the airport. The flight departs at 9:05 p.m.
“Las Vegas is the Entertainment Capital of the World,” Maurice J. Gallagher, Allegiant Air president and CEO, said, “What better way to celebrate the launch of our new nonstop, low-cost service to Vegas than with a takeoff party and a champagne flight.”
Gallagher added, “Because our new service is exciting for the entire community, we’re inviting the public to attend, and we’re offering several prizes of round-trip tickets to Las Vegas.”
Attendees at the First Flight event will receive cards bearing roulette numbers when they arrive. Several times during the evening, officials will spin a roulette wheel, and holders of winning numbers will receive a prize. Some prizes will be pairs of round-trip Allegiant Air tickets.

Another opportunity to win round-trip tickets will be for attendees to compete in an Elvis karaoke contest, which will be judged by an Elvis impersonator, Vegas showgirl and a local disk jockey.
The new flights will operate twice weekly, with service Monday and Friday. Flights will depart MidAmerica at 9:05 p.m., arriving in Las Vegas at 10:35 p.m. Flights leaving Las Vegas will depart at 3:10 p.m.. arriving at St. Louis at 8:25 p.m. (all times are local).
Allegiant will utilize a full-size, 150-seat MD-80 jet aircraft on the route.
