VIVA LAS VEGAS!
ALLEGIANT AIR ANNOUNCES NEW, NONSTOP AIR SERVICE BETWEEN MCALLEN, TEX. AND LAS VEGAS: AIRLINE CELEBRATES WITH INTRODUCTORY $79* FARE

(McAllen, Tex.) — What happens in Vegas, may stay in Vegas, but it will soon start in McAllen, Tex. as Allegiant Air, LLC, today announced new nonstop jet service to Las Vegas. The Las Vegas-based, low-fare airline will inaugurate scheduled service from the McAllen-Miller International Airport to McCarran International Airport (Las Vegas) beginning June 24, 2005. To kick off the new service, Allegiant is offering introductory fares as low as $79* one-way on flights from McAllen to Las Vegas.

“We are extremely pleased to extend the Allegiant brand of low-fare, nonstop jet service to the McAllen community,” Maurice J. The new flights will operate twice weekly, with service Monday and Friday. Beginning June 24, flights will depart McAllen at 9:45 p.m. arriving in Las Vegas at 10:50 p.m. Flights leaving Las Vegas will depart at 4:05 p.m. arriving in McAllen at 9:05 p.m. (all flight times are local).

“One of the most desired destinations for travelers in the Rio Grande Valley and Northeast Mexico is Las Vegas,” Derald Lary, Airport Director for McAllen-Miller International Airport. “We welcome them to our airport.”

The carrier will utilize a full-size, 150-seat MD-80 jet aircraft on the route. The airline said that its market research and input from local community leaders indicate that the Rio Grande Valley area will welcome the new nonstop flights and low fares to Las Vegas as an alternative to connecting flights or long drives to other airports.
