ALLEGIANT AIR ANNOUNCES NEW, NONSTOP AIR SERVICE BETWEEN RAPID CITY, S.D. AND LAS VEGAS: AIRLINE CELEBRATES WITH INTRODUCTORY $59* FARE

(Rapid City, S.D.) — What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but it will soon start in Rapid City, S.D. as Allegiant Air, LLC, today announced new, nonstop jet-service to Las Vegas. The Las Vegas-based, low-fare airline will inaugurate scheduled service from the Rapid City Regional Airport to Las Vegas beginning July 6, 2005 with introductory fares as low as $59* one-way, when book at www.allegiantair.com.

“We’re extremely pleased to extend the Allegiant brand of low-fare, nonstop jet-service to the Black Hills community,” Maurice J. Gallagher, Allegiant Air president & CEO, said. “This is an exciting new addition for our airline and our customers as we launch the only scheduled, nonstop service between the Rapid City and Las Vegas.”

The new flights will operate twice weekly, with service Wednesday and Saturday. Beginning July 6, flights will depart Rapid City at 12:05 p.m. arriving in Las Vegas (McCarran International Airport) at 1:25 p.m. Flights leaving Las Vegas will depart at 8:00 a.m. arriving in Rapid City at 11:25 a.m. (all flight times are local).

The new twice weekly flights from Allegiant Air will expand and enhance the exceptional air service available from Rapid City by providing a convenient and direct route to the Southwest for travelers from throughout the Black Hills and the entire five-state region. Rapid City is growing and expanding, and the decision by Allegiant Air to begin service here underscores and strengthens the positive growth we are experiencing in our community. “

The carrier will utilize a full-size, 150-seat MD-80 jet aircraft on the route. The airline said that its market research and input from local community leaders indicate that the Black Hills area will welcome the new nonstop flights and low fares to Las Vegas as an alternative to connecting flights or long drives to other airports.

"Over the last year we had over 19,000 total passengers flying between Las Vegas and Rapid City, and we are hopeful that we will be able to grow the market both ways with this service,” Mason Short, Executive Director, Rapid City Regional Airport, remarked. “Allegiant has had good success in Sioux Falls helping grow their overall market and it is anticipated that Rapid City Regional Airport will experience that same level of growth, or higher, in the coming years. This provides us an opportunity to bring people from America's fastest growing city to the Black Hills, allowing them to explore ponderosa pine forests, mountain meadows and clear-running trout streams."

Allegiant also offers complete air and hotel vacation packages to Las Vegas as low as $250* per person including round-trip airfare and hotel stay for four-nights (based on double-occupancy, stay at the Circus Circus, Wednesday departure and Saturday return prior to Sept. 30, 2005).

Allegiant’s $59* one-way introductory fare is available at www.allegiantair.com and must be purchased by May 27, 2005 for travel July 6 through Sept. 30, 2005. After the introductory fare period, regular one-way fares on the route will range from $89 -$189, one-way.

*The introductory $59 fare is based on round-trip travel and may not be available on all flights. Return fare is regular price. No advance purchase is required. Fares do not include PFC, segment tax or September 11 security fee of up to $10.20 per segment. Travel purchased at an Allegiant Air ticket counter or through Allegiant Air call centers will cost an additional $4.00 per segment. A segment is defined as one take-off and one landing. Any change in itinerary will result in a $25 per passenger, per segment, service fee plus any applicable fare difference. Seats are limited and tickets are non-refundable.
