BELLINGHAM AND ALLEGIANT AIR, WHAT A PAIR! ALLEGIANT CELEBRATES FIRST YEAR OF SUCCESS WITH FLY FREE* OFFER

(Bellingham, Wash.) —What happens in Vegas, may stay in Vegas, but over the last year it seems to be starting in Bellingham, Wash. as Allegiant Air, LLC, marks the one-year anniversary of nonstop, jet-service from Bellingham to Sin City. To celebrate, Allegiant Air is offering Bellingham the opportunity to FLY FREE* to Vegas, when purchasing a companion ticket and vacation package.

The Las Vegas-based, low-fare airline inaugurated service from the Bellingham International Airport to McCarran International Airport (Las Vegas) Aug. 5, 2004.

“We are gratified with the positive response the Bellingham community has had to our brand of low-fare and nonstop convenience over the last year,” Maurice J. Gallagher, the airline’s president and CEO, said. “We look forward to a continued successful relationship between Allegiant, Bellingham International Airport, the local communities, travel agents and all of our valued customers.”

Allegiant Air will complete its first year of service achieving several milestones. More than 50,000 customers have taken advantage of the nonstop jet service offered roundtrip to Las Vegas and the monthly load factors have continued to improve to an average of more than 85 percent. Since starting service, the number of customers flying to Las Vegas from Bellingham has increased 600% and at fares 40% percent less when compared to prices offered the year prior to Allegiant Air entering the market.

Allegiant currently maintains scheduled service four days weekly—Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday. Flights depart Bellingham at 7:50 p.m. and arrive in Las Vegas at 10:20 p.m. Returning from Las Vegas, the flight departs Vegas at 4:30 p.m. and arrives in Bellingham at 7:10 p.m. (all flight times are local). The carrier utilizes full-size, 150-seat, MD-80 jet aircraft on the route.

Through its Allegiant Vacations program, the company also offers low-cost vacation packages with 30 of Las Vegas’ most exciting hotel properties, including the Bellagio, Venetian, Paris, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Monte Carlo, Mirage, Golden Nugget, Excalibur, Tropicana, Bally’s, Flamingo, Four Queens, Riviera, Frontier, Luxor, Circus Circus, Imperial Palace, Hotel San Remo, Gold Coast, Boardwalk, Westin Casuarina, Stardust, Orleans and Plaza.
