ALLEGIANT AIR ANNOUNCES NEW, NONSTOP AIR SERVICE BETWEEN SANTA MARIA, CALIF. AND LAS VEGAS: AIRLINE CELEBRATES WITH INTRODUCTORY $39* FARE

(Santa Maria, Calif.) — What happens in Vegas, may stay in Vegas, but it will soon start in Santa Maria, Calif.as Allegiant Air, LLC, today announces new nonstop jet-service to Las Vegas beginning Jan. 27, 2006. To kick off the new service, the Las Vegas-based, low-fare airline is offering limited introductory fares as low as $39* one-way, when booked at www.allegiantair.com.

“We are extremely pleased to extend the Allegiant brand of low-fare, nonstop jet service to the Central Coast community,” Maurice J. Gallagher, Allegiant Air president & CEO, said. “This is an exciting new addition for our airline and our customers as we launch the only scheduled nonstop service between Santa Maria and Las Vegas.”

The new flights will operate twice weekly between Santa Maria Public Airport and McCarran International Airport (Las Vegas), with service Friday and Sunday. Beginning Jan. 27, flights will depart Santa Maria at 8:20 p.m. arriving in Las Vegas at 9:30 p.m. Flights leaving Las Vegas will depart at 6:30 p.m. arriving in Santa Maria at 7:40 p.m. (all flight times are local).

“We welcome Allegiant’s big jets,” Airport Board President Carl Engel said. 

Airport General Manager Gary Rice is pleased Allegiant Air recognizes that Santa Maria’s Airport provides the best Central Coast gateway for its jet service to Las Vegas.  “The Airport District offers Allegiant and its customer’s ease of access, low operating costs and free parking in a friendly and inviting atmosphere,” Rice said.

The carrier will utilize a full-size, 150-seat MD-80 jet aircraft on the route. The airline said that its market research and input from local community leaders indicate that the Central Coast community will welcome the new nonstop flights and low fares to Las Vegas as an alternative to connecting flights or long drives to other airports.

Allegiant also offers complete air and hotel vacation packages to Las Vegas for as low as $176* per person for two-nights, roundtrip (based on double-occupancy, stay at the Four Queens Hotel & Casino and Friday departure and Sunday return), through its Allegiant Vacations program. Allegiant Vacations offers low-cost packages with more than 35 of Las Vegas’ most exciting hotel properties, including the Wynn, Bellagio, Venetian, Paris, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Caesars, Monte Carlo, Mirage, Golden Nugget, Excalibur, Tropicana, Bally’s, Flamingo, Four Queens, Riviera, Frontier, Luxor, Circus Circus, Imperial Palace, Hotel San Remo, Gold Coast, Boardwalk, Westin Casuarina, Aladdin, Stardust, Orleans and Plaza.

Allegiant’s $39* one-way introductory fare is very limited, must be purchased by Dec. 31, 2005 and is valid for travel Jan. 27, 2006 through May 31, 2006. Introductory fares are not available on all flights and not valid the following dates: Feb. 15-20; April 12-17and 23; and May 26-29, 2006. After the introductory fare period, regular one-way fares on the route will range from $59-$169 one-way.

*All fares one-way and are non-refundable. Fares do not include PFC, segment tax or September 11 security fee of up to $10.20 per segment. Travel purchased at an Allegiant Air ticket counter or through Allegiant Air call centers will cost an additional $5.00 per segment. A segment is defined as one take-off and one landing.
