ALLEGIANT AIR ANNOUNCES NEW NONSTOP AIR SERVICE TO ORLANDO: FAYETTEVILLE TO ORLANDO FOR JUST $49* (Fayetteville, N.C.)- Low-cost airline Allegiant Air, LLC today announces new, nonstop jet service to the fun and sun of Orlando, Fla. from Fayetteville, N.C. beginning Nov. 7. The low-fare carrier will celebrate the convenient new service to the Sunshine State, with introductory fares as low as $49* each way, when booked at www.allegiantair.com. The self-proclaimed "Official Airline for Sunshine" will launch the new scheduled service from Fayetteville Regional Airport to Orlando Sanford International Airport with complete vacation packages including roundtrip air and two-night hotel stay for as low as $144**. (Price is per person, based on two-night hotel stay at the Rodeway Inn-Maingate, double occupancy and reflects a Sunday and Tuesday departure and Friday return.) "We are extremely pleased to extend the Allegiant brand of low-fare, nonstop jet service to the Fayetteville community," Maurice J. Gallagher, Allegiant Air president & CEO, said. "This is an exciting new addition for our airline and our customers." The airline said that its market research and input from local community leaders indicate that the tri-state community will welcome the new nonstop flights and low fares to Orlando as an alternative to connecting flights and long drives to other airports. Allegiant will utilize 150-seat, MD-80 series, jet-aircraft on the route. "The Fayetteville Regional Airport Commission is excited that Allegiant Air is offering our customers and the region direct, low-fare service to Orlando-Sanford Airport," Jay Wyatt, Chairman of the Airport Commission said. "The addition of Allegiant to our service offerings fulfills a decade-long goal of returning to a three airline operations and providing direct service to a third destination," Bradley Whited, Airport Director, said. "Our Military and Civilian populations will enjoy the direct, economical and easy access to the Land of Mickey Mouse. We couldn't be more pleased with the addition of Allegiant!" The new flights will operate three times weekly, with service Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Flights will depart the Fayetteville Regional Airport at 6:30 p.m. arriving in Orlando Sanford International Airport at 7:55 p.m. Flights leaving Orlando will depart at 4:30 p.m. arriving in Fayetteville at 5:55 p.m. (all flight times are local.) The Allegiant Vacations division of the company will offer low-cost packages with 21 of Orlando's most exciting hotel properties and three in Daytona Beach. Partner properties include The Swan, The Dolphin, The Hilton in Lake Buena Vista and the Radisson Parkway. Low-cost packages are available to include hotel, car and amusement park tickets for additional savings. Allegiant's $49* one-way introductory fare is limited, not available on all flights and must be purchased by Sept. 30, 2006, for travel through Jan. 31, 2007.
