PLAY A "ROUND" IN PALM SPRINGS! ALLEGIANT AIR ANNOUNCES NONSTOP FLIGHTS FROM BELLINGHAM TO PALM SPRINGS FOR JUST FOUR-TEE-NINE DOLLARS

(Bellingham, Wash.)--- Bellingham get ready to play a "round" in Palm Springs, Calif. Low-cost airline, Allegiant Air, LLC, today announces, seasonal nonstop jet service to Palm Springs from Bellingham, Wash. Jan. 17, 2007 through April 14, 2007. The low-fare carrier will celebrate the convenient new service to the Palm Springs International Airport with sunny introductory fares as low as $49* each way.

Palm Springs is a relaxing and recreational oasis in the premiere desert region of Southern California's Coachella Valley, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, manicured golf courses and warm, beautiful blue skies. Year-round sunshine and world-class hotel and resort amenities entertain more than three million visitors each year. The destination is a Mecca for golf, tennis and sunbathing, with more than 110 golf courses, 600 tennis courts and 30,000 swimming pools. This scenic destination is comprised of eight distinctively charming desert resort cities, which include Cathedral City, Desert Hot Springs, Indian Wells, Indio, La Quinta, Palm Desert, Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage.

"We are confident the entire region will enjoy the low-cost, nonstop jet service to Palm Springs, as they already do to Las Vegas."

The self-proclaimed "Official Airline for Sunshine" will launch the new seasonal scheduled service from Bellingham International Airport to Palm Springs International Airport with two flights weekly. With service Wednesday and

Saturday, flights will depart Bellingham at 11:55 a.m. arriving in Palm Springs at 2:45 p.m. Flights leaving Palm Springs will depart at 4:20 p.m. arriving in Bellingham at 7:10 p.m. (all flight times are local.)

"Palm Springs is a great vacation destination that offers a way for people to escape the rainy season," said Port Commission President Jim Jorgensen. "I think Whatcom County and the surrounding region will appreciate being able to take a direct flight from Bellingham to Palm Springs."

This year alone, Allegiant has expanded the number of flights to Las Vegas three times. The low-cost carrier now offers 10 nonstop flights, six days a week from Bellingham to Las Vegas. Allegiant has carried more than 131,250 area residents to the City of Entertainment since the inaugural flight Aug. 5, 2004. The airline commented that market research and input from local community leaders indicate the entire Whatcom County and Vancouver communities will welcome the new nonstop flights and low fares to Palm Springs as an alternative to connecting flights and long drives to other airports. Allegiant will utilize 150-seat, MD-80 series, jet-aircraft on the route. The Allegiant Vacations division of the company will allow customers to double their sunshine with complete vacation packages at some of the area's premier resorts, including Royal Sun Inn, Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa, Rancho Las Palmas Marriott Resort & Spa and Desert Springs-A JW Marriott Resort & Spa. Low-cost packages are available to include not only air and hotel, but car rentals for additional savings.

Allegiant's $49* one-way introductory fare is limited, not available on all flights and must be purchased by Nov. 4, 2006, for travel through March 7, 2007. After the introductory fare period, regular one-way fares on the route start as low as $79 one-way.
