(South Bend, Ind.) -- Allegiant Air, LLC announces the expansion of its popular low-cost, nonstop service to the Tampa Bay area from South Bend, Ind. Due to popular demand, the airline will add a seasonal Wednesday flight Feb. 27 through April 19.

"We are very pleased with the performance of our new service to Tampa Bay from South Bend," said Maurice J. Gallagher, the airline's president and CEO. "The addition of a Wednesday flight will make it even easier for customers in the Michiana community get to the fun and sun of the Tampa Bay area. We are confident this new schedule will have great appeal."

The three-day-a-week schedule will depart South Bend Regional Airport at 5:15 p.m. arriving at St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport at 7:50 p.m. Flights leaving Tampa Bay will depart at 2:10 p.m. arriving in South Bend at 4:40 p.m. (all flight times are local).

Allegiant Air inaugurated service from the South Bend Regional Airport to the Tampa Bay area Nov. 17, 2006. The low-cost airline inaugurated service to Las Vegas August 5, 2005 and to Orlando Nov. 16, 2005.
