(Great Falls, Mont.) - What happens in Vegas, may stay in Vegas, but it will soon start in Great Falls, Mont. as Allegiant Air today announces new nonstop jet-service to Las Vegas, Nev. beginning March 9. To kick off the new service, the Las Vegas-based, low-fare airline is offering limited introductory fares as low as $59* one-way.

"We are extremely pleased to extend the Allegiant brand of low-fare, nonstop jet service to the Great Falls area," Maurice J. Gallagher, Allegiant Air president & CEO, said. "This is an exciting new addition for our airline and our customers as we launch the only scheduled service between Great Falls and Las Vegas."

The new flights will operate twice weekly between the Great Falls International Airport and McCarran International Airport (Las Vegas), with service Friday and Monday. Beginning March 9, flights will depart Great Falls at 6:15 p.m. arriving in Las Vegas at 7:30 p.m. Flights leaving Las Vegas will depart at 2:20 p.m. arriving in Great Falls at 5:35 p.m. (all flight times are local).

"We are excited about Allegiant Air's decision to provide direct service to Las Vegas, which is our number two outbound market," Dr. Deb Kottel, Chairperson, Great Falls Airport Authority, said. "This addition creates direct service to five of our top seven outbound destinations giving our community strong and varied air connections. Air connections are an important link in creating a community that is financially strong."

The carrier will utilize a full-size, 150-seat MD-80 jet aircraft on the route. The airline said its market research and input from local community leaders indicate that the Great Falls community will welcome the new nonstop flights and low fares to Las Vegas as an alternative to connecting flights or long drives to other airports.

Allegiant's $59* one-way introductory fare is limited, must be purchased by Feb. 3, 2007 and is valid for travel through June 10, 2007. Introductory fares are not available on all flights. After the introductory fare period, regular one-way fares on the route start as low as $79 one-way.

*All fares one-way and are non-refundable. Fares do not include PFC, segment tax or September 11 security fee of up to $10.40 per segment. Travel purchased through Allegiant Air call centers will cost an additional $5.00 per segment. A segment is defined as one take-off and one landing.
