(Grand Junction, Colo.) -- Allegiant Air today announces it will offer Grand Junction, Colo. residents a more convenient schedule with nonstop flights to Las Vegas Thursday and Sunday beginning March 4.

"We are pleased to offer the Grand Junction community a more convenient travel schedule," said Maurice J. Gallagher, the airline's president and CEO. "The change in flight days will help more customers get away on vacation to the fun and excitement of Las Vegas. We are confident the new schedule will have great appeal."

Beginning March 4, Allegiant Air will operate two-flights-a-week with service Thursday and Sunday. Flights depart Walker Field Airport at 8:15 p.m. arriving in Las Vegas at 8:35 p.m. Flights leaving Las Vegas depart at 5:15 p.m. arriving in Grand Junction at 7:35 p.m. (all flight times are local.) Allegiant currently offers flights to Las Vegas Wednesday and Saturday.

"Now our customers not only get the convenience of flying out of Walker Field, but a new schedule that makes traveling to Las Vegas even easier," said Rex Tippetts, Airport Manager for Walker Field Airport. "We hope everyone will take advantage of the new flights."

Allegiant began nonstop service from Walker Field Airport to Las Vegas July 29, 2006.

Allegiant's $39* one-way fare is limited, must be purchased by February 17, 2007 and is valid for travel through June 10, 2007.
