(McAllen, Tex.) - The Rio Grande Valley asked for flights to Orlando and Allegiant Air is responding. The low-cost airline today announces the seasonal addition of two flights a week from McAllen, Tex. to Orlando, Fla. To celebrate, the airline will offer a limited time $79* one-way fare to the Sunshine State.

"The seasonal addition of two flights per week will help the Rio Grande Valley customers get to the fun and sun of Orlando," said Maurice J. Gallagher, the airline's president and CEO. "We are confident this schedule will have great appeal."

From June 11 through Aug. 8, Allegiant will offer flights to Orlando on Wednesday and Saturday. Flights will depart McAllen-Miller International Airport at 9:55 a.m. arriving at Orlando Sanford International Airport at 1:35 p.m. Flights leaving Orlando will depart at 7:40 a.m. arriving in McAllen at 9:20 a.m. (all flight times are local).

The Allegiant Vacations division of the company will offer low-cost packages with 21 of Orlando's most exciting hotel properties and three in Daytona Beach. Partner properties include The Swan, The Dolphin, The Hilton in Lake Buena Vista and the Radisson Parkway. Low-cost packages are available to include hotel, car and amusement park tickets for additional savings.

The $79* sale fares are available for a limited time and must be purchased by March 17, 2007 at an Allegiant airport ticket counter for travel completed by Aug. 8, 2007.
