(Rochester, Minn.) - What happens in Vegas, may stay in Vegas, but it will soon start in Rochester, Minn. as Allegiant Air today announces new nonstop jet-service to Las Vegas, Nev. beginning June 14. To kick off the new service, the Las Vegas-based, low-fare airline is offering limited introductory fares as low as $79* one-way.

"We are extremely pleased to extend the Allegiant brand of low-fare, nonstop jet service to the Southeastern Minnesota community," Maurice J. Gallagher, Allegiant Air president & CEO, said. "This is an exciting new addition for our airline and our customers as we launch the only full-size jet service between Rochester and Las Vegas."

The new flights will operate twice weekly between Rochester International Airport and McCarran International Airport (Las Vegas), with service Thursday and Sunday. Beginning June 14, flights will depart Rochester at 3:10 p.m. arriving in Las Vegas at 4:30 p.m. Flights leaving Las Vegas will depart at 9:30 a.m. arriving in Rochester at 2:30 p.m. (all flight times are local).

"The Rochester Airport Company and the City of Rochester are extremely excited about this new service," Steven W. Leqve, Airport Manager for Rochester International Airport, said. "This will not only benefit Rochester residents, but all of Southeastern Minnesota, Northern Iowa, and Eastern Wisconsin as well."

The carrier will utilize a full-size, 150-seat MD-80 jet aircraft on the route. The airline said its market research and input from local community leaders indicate the Southeastern Minnesota community will welcome the new nonstop flights and low fares to Las Vegas as an alternative to connecting flights or long drives to other airports.

Allegiant's $79* one-way introductory fare is limited, must be purchased by May 16, 2007 and is valid for travel through Nov. 7, 2007. Introductory fares are not available on all flights. After the introductory fare period, regular one-way fares on the route start as low as $99 one-way.
