BASIC FUNCTION:

Review, analyze, and prepare the appropriate documentation (Engineering Order, Engineering Maintenance Liaison Authorization, or Engineering Repair Order) for the accomplishment of requested modification, repair, or trouble shooting procedures as needed to maintain Allegiant Air aircraft and equipment.  Develop procedures and processes for use of tooling and test equipment.  Design test equipment and procedures as required.

SPECIFIC:

Provide data for the incorporation of modifications into Illustrated Parts Catalogs, Wiring Diagrams, and/or Maintenance Manuals.

Assist Maintenance in trouble shooting of avionic and electrical problems when requested.

Review and evaluate and recommend new systems and procedures as required to up grade Allegiant aircraft.

Recommend new tooling and assist with training for maintaining Allegiant aircraft.

Using historical modification data, update, or assist in updating, of the prime manuals (Wiring Diagrams, Illustrated parts Catalogs, and Maintenance manuals) to reflect current aircraft configurations.

Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Liaison Engineering.

Assist with CASP analysis and development of an in house reliability program.

REPORTS TO: Manager Liaison Engineering

 SUPERVISES:   N/A

INTERACTIONS: Flight Operation, Maintenance, Materials, and management on as needed basis

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:  

Airframe and Power Plant Certificate

FCC General License and /or BS in Electrical Engineering desirable

Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (highly desirable) or equivalent experience

Experience: 10 years Commercial aviation experience. 5 years concentration in the Avionics and Electrical Discipline

Knowledge: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe graphic and publishing software (experience necessary). Expert CAD operator (desirable)

Position from which an employee could be promoted into this position:  Manager of Liaison Engineering, Director of Technical Service, or VP of Maintenance

Working conditions:  Office and Field

Travel:  20% maximum (seminars, training, assist with modifications)
