BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for scheduling of company aircraft, power plants and appliances for daily and heavy check maintenance requirements in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and the Company Policies and Procedures Manual. The Maintenance Planner is responsible to the Manager of Maintenance Planning for detailed and accurate analysis, forecasting and planning of daily maintenance requirements.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:
- The Maintenance Planner is responsible to, coordinates with, the Manager of Maintenance Planning for detailed and accurate analysis, forecasting and planning of daily maintenance requirements.
- Coordinates with the manager of Maintenance Planning in analyzing maintenance forecast of time-limited requirements for assigned aircraft or power plants and reviews maintenance requirements generated by other departments. In coordination with the Manager of Maintenance Planning, Maintenance Control and Dispatch provides input as to the routing of specific aircraft into maintenance for a scheduled maintenance.
- Assists the Manager of Maintenance Planning in analyzing manpower, parts and tooling requirements for scheduled maintenance and coordinates with the appropriate departments to ensure proper support of scheduled maintenance.
- Coordinates with the Manager of Maintenance Planning in the development and issuance of nightly maintenance work packages in accordance with the General Maintenance Manual. Attends daily briefings, as required, with affected department representatives to finalize preparations for nightly work loads. Coordinates with the Manager of Maintenance Planning in reviewing completed work packages for completeness and resetting of maintenance tracking items.
- In the absence of the Manager of Maintenance Planning performs the duties of the Manager of Maintenance Planning is assigned.
- Other Duties as assigned by the Manager of Maintenance Planning
- Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
- Must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986
- Able to attend 2 weeks of training in Las Vegas (expenses paid)
REPORTS TO: Manager of Maintenance Planning
INTERACTIONS: Manager of Maintenance Planning and other management within the company
Education: High School/ GED
Experience: 1 year in aircraft maintenance planning functions
Working conditions: must be willing to work nights and weekends
