BASIC FUNCTION:
The Aircraft Scheduler is responsible for the scheduling of company aircraft for heavy check maintenance requirements in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and the Company General Maintenance Manual. The Aircraft Scheduler is responsible to the Manager of Maintenance planning for ensuring daily maintenance requirements are accomplished on Allegiant’s aircraft.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:
- The Aircraft Scheduler is responsible to the Manager of Maintenance planning for the scheduling of company aircraft to ensure implementation of daily maintenance requirements.
- Assists the Manager of Maintenance Planning in scheduling maintenance forecast of time limited requirements for assigned aircraft or powerplants and reviews maintenance requirements generated by other departments.
- Assists the Manager of Maintenance Planning in analyzing manpower, parts and tooling requirements for scheduled maintenance and coordinates with the appropriate departments to ensure proper support of scheduled maintenance.
- Coordinates with the Manager of Maintenance Planning and the Manager of Material Services in the development and issuance of nightly maintenance work packages in accordance with the General Maintenance Manual. Attends daily briefings, as required, with affected department representatives to finalize scheduling for nightly workloads.
- Coordinates with Maintenance Control to ensure aircraft are scheduled for repair of Deferred Maintenance Items within required time limits.
- Coordinates with the Manager of Material Services to ensure parts and tooling, as required, are available for scheduled maintenance.
- Coordinates with the Director of Maintenance, Director of Aircraft Induction and Heavy maintenance, and Manager of Planning for the scheduling of aircraft for heavy maintenance.
- Other Duties as assigned by the Manager of Maintenance Planning.
- Must Pass a ten(10) year background check and pre-employment drug screen.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: College degree preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent; A & P license
Experience: years A & P airline experience; MD-80 experience highly desired
Knowledge:Computer Literate; Word & Excel experience highly desirable
Working conditions: Primarily Indoors; Office setting
Physical demands: Minimal
