BASIC FUNCTION:

Part-Time Customer Service/GOA’s are responsible for checking in the customers at the ticket counter, assigning their seats, processing their boarding passes, checking their luggage and monitoring carry on baggage for size & quantity as well as ramp operations, which will include loading and unloading baggage on and off the aircraft, marshalling in the planes & pushing back the aircraft.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:

  • The ideal candidate must be people oriented, highly motivated with a positive and friendly attitude
  • Processing customers tickets, checking baggage, monitoring carry-on baggage for size and quantity and assigning seats
  • Provide information on arrival and departure times, boarding procedures, carry-on regulations
  • Handling denied boarding situations, soliciting volunteers, accommodating customers and providing hotel, meal and taxi vouchers when appropriate
  • Ensures FAA, Allegiant Air and airport regulations are followed
  • Enforces safety/security measures and protects sensitive zones
  • Assists customers with special needs, e.g. customers who need assistance in boarding
  • Loading and unloading baggage on and off the aircraft
  • Marshalling in the planes and pushing back the aircraft
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be well groomed and physically fit
  • Work in extreme outdoor conditions
  • Ability to push/pull/lift 70lbs on a continuous basis
  • Other duties as assaigned
  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986
  • Must be 18 years or older

    REPORTS TO:
    Station Supervisor
  • INTERACTIONS: Allegiant Air Employees, vendors, airport personnel and customers

    REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

    Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent

    Experience: Minimum 2 years Customer Service experience or the equivalent in related training and/or experience

    Knowledge: Possess basic computer skills with the ability to type 25 wpm

    Position from which an employee could be promoted into this position:  Station Supervisor

    Working conditions: Standard airport operations environment

    Physical demands: Must be able to carry a 70pound suitcase from the floor to 18 inches and carry a 70 pound suitcase in front of you with both hands for a distance up to 25 feet
