BASIC FUNCTION:

Ramp Agents provide careful handling of Customer luggage, operate ground service equipment, meet arriving flights, fleet servicing, assist Customers with special needs, and any ad-hoc requests as needed.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:

• The ideal candidate must be reliable, have high energy combined with enthusiasm and a positive attitude
• Operate Ground Equipment including baggage tugs, belt loaders, pushback tractors, and airstair operations
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repetitively
• Load and unload baggage from the aircraft continuously
• Ad hoc assignments as requested by the Supervisor or General Manager
• Able to communicate using a two-way radio
• Able to read and write English
• Available to work varied hours including swing and graveyard shifts plus weekends and holidays
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record
• Must be well groomed and physically fit
• Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986
• Able to attend 2 weeks of training in Las Vegas (expenses paid)

REPORTS TO: Station Supervisor and /or Station Manager

SUPERVISES: N/A

INTERACTIONS: Allegiant Air Employees, vendors, and airport personnel

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent

Experience: No experience necessary

Knowledge:

Position from which an employee could be promoted into this position: Station Supervisor

Working conditions: Primarily outdoors. Working in extreme outdoor weather conditions. Standard airport operations environment

Physical demands: Must be able to lift 70 pounds repetitively. The ability to climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop often.
