Get away and show your pride! Each year thousands of people gather across the country to celebrate love, diversity, inclusivity and equality at Pride parades and festivals. It’s a place for everyone to express themselves, support the LGBT community and be dazzled by fabulous outfits, performances and art.

We’ve put together a guide of upcoming Pride celebrations in Allegiant destinations for a quick weekend getaway.

Pride in the Valley of the Sun

Phoenix Pride has a rich history with over 35 years of celebrations. Thousands of people are expected to attend the two-day event, beginning on April 7, that will feature more than 150 performances on five stages and more than 300 exhibitors. The Phoenix Pride Parade will begin on Sunday, April 8 at 10 a.m. at 3rd Street and Thomas and end at Steele Indian School Park, where the Phoenix Pride Festival will be held.

Pride in LA

If California is calling your name, LA Pride might be just the ticket for a weekend getaway to the Golden State. For more than 40 years, thousands of prideful people have gathered to celebrate equality, diversity and inclusion. The festival features musical performances, food vendors and plenty of dancing. The LA Pride festival kicks off Saturday, June 9, with the LA Pride Parade on Sunday, June 10, at 10 a.m. on Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood.

PrideSunshine in San Francisco

Many consider San Francisco the mecca of LGBT culture and SF Pride lives up to that expectation. The two-day celebration starts on Saturday, June 23, at noon at the Civic Center Plaza. On Sunday, June 24, thousands of people line Market Street to marvel at the ginormous display of custom floats, colorful outfits, vibrant dancing and diverse music of the SF Pride Parade.

Pride in the Big Apple

NYC Pride offers something for everyone from movie nights to VIP rooftop parties, brunch and the march. It’s a weekend full of celebrating diversity, activism and equality. The main event of the biggest pride celebration in the world is the march on Sunday, June 24 at noon. Organizers are expecting record attendance for the event, which features more than 450 marching contingents and over 110 floats.

Sashay in St. Pete

PrideThere’s no shortage of sun and fun in St. Pete, and St. Pete Pride is no exception. Pride weekend kicks off Saturday, June 23 with the 16th annual St. Pete Pride Parade, starting at 6:30 p.m. It’s a dazzling event, showcasing the beauty and diversity found in the region. On Sunday, the St. Pete Pride Festival is sure to wow with an expected 50,000 people in attendance to celebrate love and unbridled self-expression. It will be a day filled with live entertainment, art, vendor booths and delicious food.

Spirit in San Diego

A San Diego Pride weekend getaway is just a flight away on Allegiant. The annual San Diego Pride Parade will take place on July 14, at 11 a.m. The 1.5 mile spectacle begins at the Hillcrest Pride Flag at University Avenue and Normal Street. Over 40,000 people are expected to attend the weekend of spirit.

They say “everything is big in Texas” and Austin’s Pride festival lives up to that expression. The massive celebration will take over Austin beginning Saturday, August 25. With over 400,000 people expected to attend from across the country and around the world, it’s a showcase of love, inclusivity and diversity on an epic scale.
