The Insider’s Guide: Punta Gorda

Jill, Allegiant Flight Attendant & Punta Gorda Insider

The Punta Gorda/Fort Myers area is known for its laid-back atmosphere, tall palm-lined streets, old Florida-era tin roofs and its warm Gulf of Mexico water. Our resident insider showcases a few examples why Punta Gorda is the place to relax and take it easy.

TT’s Tiki Bar
What more could you want other than live music, beach volleyball and great cocktails? Enjoy your drinks right on the sand under a palm tree or at the tiki bar. The restaurant offers a full menu and be sure to try one of their specialty tiki cocktails!

Fishermen’s Village

Offering waterfront open-air shopping and entertainment, it includes over 30 shops and restaurants and an attached marina that provides boating, kayak and paddleboard rentals. It’s also a launching point for charter fishing excursions.

Harpoon Harry’s

Located inside Fisherman’s Village, Harpoon Harry’s is the downstairs portion of Smuggler’s Restaurants. It’s a wonderful place to eat some great seafood, play air hockey or billiards, and enjoy a drink right on the water with views of dolphins passing by.
