Several delectable new restaurants that are sure to please even the most finicky of palates with their delicious dishes have recently opened in Las Vegas. From a savory off-Strip steakhouse to a celebrity chef’s latest Strip venture, here are three new restaurants worth checking out during your Vegas visit.
THE ANGRY BUTCHER
Located inside Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall, this sophisticated eatery offers a contemporary take on the classic American steakhouse. Featuring a menu of rustic steakhouse fare, guests can dine inside the restaurant or on its indoor patio with views of Mystic Falls Park. Steaks are seared to perfection in a 900-degree broiler and come in a variety of cuts, including New York and filet mignon. Specialty dishes like the flavorful Steak au Poivre, pan-roasted USDA Prime flat iron steak with a green peppercorn cognac sauce, are available as well. Other menu must-tries include the slow-roasted, bone-on 24-ounce Prime Rib and the ale-braised Beef Short Ribs served over white cheddar grits. samstownlv.com/dine/the-angry-butcher
GORDON RAMSAY FISH & CHIPS
The fourth Las Vegas restaurant from the “Hell’s Kitchen” chef, this takeaway-style British eatery at The LINQ Promenade serves some of the best fish and chips outside of London. Guests can choose from four types of hand-cut chips to go with their Alaskan True Cod, including the “Dirty #1” topped with chipotles, jalapeños and crisp chorizo, and pair their selection with a refreshing fresh-squeezed lemonade (Sunseeker recommends the Peach & Ginger Lemonade), a Sticky Toffee Pudding Shake or Biscoff Shake. Several other items are available as well, including golden battered chicken strips that go well with a side of the restaurant’s sriracha aïoli sauce. caesars.com/linq/promenade/dining/fish-and-chips
CASA DEL MATADOR
This stylish restaurant in Downtown Summerlin boasts a menu of scratch-made Mexican cuisine and more than 120 different tequilas. In additional to traditional favorites like street tacos and burritos, taste buds are sure to relish more innovative items such as the Grilled Stuffed Jalapeños filled with goat cheese and wrapped in hickory smoked bacon. The Grilled Ribeye, a succulent 10-ounce boneless ribeye topped with caramelized onions and garlic-chile butter, is another guaranteed palate pleaser, as are the warm cinnamon-sugar sopapillas available for dessert. Regardless of whether or not you use the pineapple rum caramel and chipotle-chocolate dipping sauces that come with the treat, taste buds will be in heaven. matadorrestaurants.com/summerlin
