The Mango Pudding at California Noodle House

CALIFORNIA NOODLE HOUSE AT CALIFORNIAN HOTEL & CASINO

Dishes that blend elements of Thai, Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese cuisines will wow you in this stylish dining room filled with paper lanterns and abstract art. Watch your meal be prepared in the open show kitchen. Delight in wok-fried noodle dishes like Hong Kong Mein and Pad Thai, while entrées include the Braised Oxtail with star anise, carrots, potatoes and curry sauce. One delicious way to cool off this summer is with a bowl of Mango Pudding! See the menu here.

GROTTO ITALIAN RISTORANTE AT GOLDEN NUGGET

Just steps from the resort’s giant shark tank pool, this ultra modern restaurant features Italian classics and much more. If you’re a soup fan, the Zuppa Maritata (wedding soup) is magnificent. In addition to the fresh antipasti and pizzas like the Capricciosa topped with prosciutto, pine nuts, artichoke hearts, San Marzano tomatoes and fontina cheese, you have to try the homemade pastas. With mushrooms, peas and pancetta, the Orecchiette Gorgonzola is an absolute treasure. Check out the menu here.

Grilled shrimp tamale from Mundo at Mingo Kitchen & Lounge

MUNDO AT MINGO KITCHEN & LOUNGE

Located at 1017 S. First St., this urban cool lounge features an inventive menu that fuses old world Mexico with modern flavors. Executive Chef Robert Solano, George Harris and Mingo Collaso brought menu items from Mundo, their former boutique Mexican restaurant, to Mingo. Highlights of the “Mundo at Mingo” menu include street tacos, enchiladas stuffed with chicken or brisket, filet mignon chile rellenos and sweet chipotle glazed shrimp tamales. See more on Mundo here.

TUMERIC FLAVORS OF INDIA

This contemporary two-story restaurant and rooftop bar at 700 Fremont St. is a hotspot for lovers of Indian food. From appetizers like the Aloo Tikki Chaat (spiced potato cakes), Seared Scallops and Gilaffi Lamb Sheekh Kebab, to main courses including Beef Curry, there’s plenty to get excited about. The Kasundi Jhinga, tandoori-roasted tiger prawns marinated with West Bengal mustard, is also divine, and you’ll delight in the naan breads, papadums (round crackers) and chutneys. Visit Tumeric’s website here.
