Playtime isn’t just for kids anymore thanks to two cool new attractions near the south end of the Las Vegas Strip.
Offering a variety of pay-to-play offerings in a social atmosphere, the tech-savvy LEVEL UP is unlike any other gaming lounge on the Strip. Located inside MGM Grand, the 12,000-square-foot adult playground opened last December and features an assortment of traditional games for visitors to play, including pool, foosball and ping pong, as well as several contemporary games, like QuadAir Hockey and Giant Pac-Man. It’s also home to the world’s first indoor laser golf course, which uses cutting-edge technology so that players can experience a virtual game of golf on numerous real-world courses.
The industrial-like venue has its own bar boasting 24 craft beers and a specialty cocktail menu, and offers endless entertainment across multiple screens on display, in addition to a live DJ during select hours. It’s the perfect place for bachelor/bachelorette parties to go have fun or for sports fans to catch the latest game, while competing in some friendly games of their own.
Guests can also engage in some friendly competition at Topgolf Las Vegas. Located behind MGM Grand, this four-level, 105,000-square-foot entertainment complex has become one of Las Vegas’ most popular destinations since opening in May 2016, attracting countless celebrities to its 107 climate-controlled hitting bays. Perfect for players of all ages and skill levels, guests can play a variety of golf games that test the accuracy and distance of their shots, while awarding points for hitting colored, dartboard-like targets in the outfield.
While the interactive golf games are fun, Topgolf offers visitors so much more to enjoy, such as an intimate concert venue and two swimming pools on its adults-only levels (three and four) that are open through September. There are also five bars on site, plus a kitchen serving an extensive menu of flavorful fare. Items can be delivered directly to your hitting bay and include such savory selections as the Al Pastor Style Pork skewers made with grilled pineapple, cotija cheese and coated in a chili rub, and the Crispy Sea Bass Sliders. Of course, no trip to Topgolf is complete without some of the “Adult” Donut Holes: warm cinnamon-sugar donut holes guests inject with different booze-infused fillings using a plastic syringe.
