CINCH Boyd Gaming Chute-Out – Given that Boyd Gaming’s co-founder, Sam Boyd, helped bring the National Finals Rodeo (NFR) to Las Vegas in 1985, it’s no surprise that Boyd Gaming has been a proud sponsor of the event ever since. In fact, Boyd Gaming’s Las Vegas properties have become some of the most popular places for rodeo fans to go after watching all of the NFR action at Thomas & Mack Center, thanks to such annual events as the Legendary Buck’N Ball and the “National Finals Tonight Show.”

In 2015, Boyd Gaming added another can’t-miss rodeo event to its entertainment lineup: the CINCH Boyd Gaming Chute-Out. Returning to the Orleans Arena for its third year December 7 through 9, this action-packed event welcomes past, present and future stars of rodeo as they compete on 60,000 cubic feet of dirt in various events for their share of a $200,000 purse. Previous CINCH Boyd Gaming Chute-Outs have seen world champion riders and ropers such as Cody Ohl, Fred Whitfield, J.W. Harris, Cody Wright, Luke Branquinho and Wade Sundell competing in the days’ events.
The 2016 CINCH Boyd Gaming Chute-Out attracted approximately 10,000 fans to witness all of the action, and attendees never know what to expect from each day’s contests. Last year, ticket holders saw history in the making when saddle bronc rider Wade Sundell made the first-ever “contestant challenge,” disagreeing with a call made by a rodeo judge for his ride. The judge watched a replay of Sundell’s ride, and upon review, actually reversed the decision!

In addition to watching some of the biggest rodeo names compete in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, barrel racing, bull riding, saddle bronc riding and tie-down roping, fans will have the opportunity to interact with the competitors as well as the rodeo itself in a variety of ways. Guests can download the free Boyd Gaming Chute-Out app, which was introduced during the event’s inaugural year, to receive live scoring results, contestant bios, exclusive videos, information on events and instant access to the latest Chute-Out news. The CINCH Boyd Gaming Chute-Out will once again be the only rodeo event listed in Boyd Gaming’s sportsbooks during rodeo week, so adult fans can wager on their favorite riders.
