Nashville’s Live Music Scene

Nashville is known for having great live music everywhere and every day of the week. Most people might just think Nashville only has country music, but you can find every music genre in this city. From country to rock and even some Irish music, Nashville has it all! So, put on your best dancing outfit to bust some moves, because we have a great list of bars that will have you dancing the night away to whatever music your heart desires!

The Stage on Broadway

Ready to get rowdy? This is the place. The Stage on Broadway is true to their saying, “The Whiskey’s on Ice and the Music’s on Fire,” because the music is definitely hot and you’ll need that chilled whiskey to cool you off after busting moves on the large dance floor. Don’t be too surprised if you see a few country celebrities in the crowd, just get your camera ready and try not to freak out.

Legends Corner

If you don’t like having a great time, then we recommend that you stay away from Legends Corner because you are bound to have a fantastic time here. Live music starts at 10 a.m. and doesn’t end until the bar closes at 3 a.m. From country music to rock, pop and hip-hop, the performers at Legends play it all! Be sure to check out the walls while you are there as they are covered in country record covers!

Honky Tonk NashvilleHonky Tonk Central

Now, you can’t go to Nashville without experiencing a little bit of honky tonk, right? We highly recommend a staple on Lower Broadway to hear locals perform originals and cover some classic songs – Honky Tonk Central. With three floors of live music, food and drinks, you could really spend all night here moving between levels. Pro tip: Arrive early in the night because there will be lines to get in!

Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar

It’s time to kick-off those cowboy and cowgirl boots and head on down to Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar to listen to some of the best blues performers around. This New Orleans-themed blues bar has had legends such as B.B. King and James Brown grace their stage. You might get a little thirsty and hungry after dancing all night, so we recommend ordering their Big Easy Hurricane cocktail and Voodoo Wings.

McNamara’s Irish Pub & Restaurant

Switching to a whole different genre and country now to McNamara’s Irish Pub & Restaurant. McNamara’s Pub is dedicated to providing customers with a traditional Irish pub experience, which of course means excellent live Irish music. The performers that play here will have your hands clapping and feet stomping to the beat. If you find yourself hungry, be sure to order a classic Irish meal – fish and chips and Irish whiskey.
