Soak in the Fall Season in NYC

Fall is upon us! The weather is cooling off, the leaves are changing and pumpkin-flavored foods are hitting the shelves. What better place to soak in the season than heading to NYC to see the pretty red and yellow leaves in Central Park with the city skyline? We guarantee you will fall in love with fall by the end of this vacation. Check out some of our favorite activities to do in The Big Apple this fall!

The High Line

One of the best places to soak in the views of NYC in the fall is by taking a stroll along the High Line. Built on a historic elevated freight rail, this public park offers some of the best views of the city and is a place where you can experience nature, art and history. We recommend packing snacks or a book and stopping at the 10th Avenue Square & Overlook. That spot offers visitors a place to sit and relax while watching public performers and foot traffic on the street below.

Picnic in a Park

NYC Central ParkBreathe in the crisp autumn air while enjoying a picnic in the park! New York is filled with beautiful parks where you can hang out with friends or lay back and read a good book. A few of our favorite picnic locations in Central Park would be Cherry Hill, Great Lawn and The Pool. Get your traveling buddies together, grab some food and escape the concrete jungle for a few hours!

Shop at a Farmers Market

Looking for a place to grab some food before heading out to the park for a picnic? Check out one of New York City’s many farmers markets to purchase all of the pumpkin-flavored foods! Here are a few of our favorite farmers markets in NYC: Union Square Greenmarket, Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket and Borough Hall Greenmarket

Dine on an Outdoor Patio

BeerIf lounging on the ground isn’t really your thing, then maybe lounging on an outdoor patio would better suit your taste. You will still be able to enjoy the fresh fall air while relaxing on a patio with a drink in hand after a long day of exploring NYC. A few cool restaurants and bars with outdoor areas that we highly recommend are Loreley Restaurant & Biergarten, the first of its kind Biergarten in NYC, and then Cantina Rooftop where you can enjoy delicious Mexican dishes and drinks with a roof-top view of the city.
