Phoenix’s craft beer game is strong. Breweries all over the city offer curated selections of brews, from their own signature offerings to craft beers from all over the world. Plenty offer windows to the processing areas, giving industrial flair to the drinking and dining experience, as well as letting fans see the equipment that helps their favorite flavors develop.

Another addition to North Central Phoenix’s growing list of shops and restaurants, this location of Phoenix Ale Brewery is a stylish and homey place to grab a pint. It’s also got a menu loaded with bar-style eats that you can partner with a signature brew; the menu even offers suggestions of what food and drink items unite harmoniously. Fans of fruity brews might like their Watermelon Ale, while the heartier Ironwood Porter offers a malty beginning that is followed up by lots of hops. Wines and cocktails provide the beyond-beer drink choices.
FOUR PEAKS
Not too far from Arizona State University’s main campus, this pub, now open 20 years, is a popular place with the college crowd, as well as a broad mix of craft beer fanatics. It’s common to find their beers at Valley stores and restaurants; they also distribute them beyond Arizona. The vibe is cozy and festive, making Four Peaks a fun place to meet up for their varieties, like the extremely popular Kiltlifter – a Scottish style ale. Those with lighter tastes might prefer the Peach Ale or their Pitchfork Pale Ale. The food menu is as packed as the drink list, with pub fare from salads to fried goodies.
