2. Kulshan Brewing Company
Kulshan Brewing is a charming brewery in Bellingham that focuses on creating true-to-style ales and lagers. Boasting a warm and friendly taproom, Kulshan offers a delightful array of brews to satisfy every palate, from crisp lagers to bold barrel-aged creations.
We decided to check out their double IPA called Bull of the Woods. Though every option sounded delicious, we decided on this hoppy drink due to its beautiful deep golden color. We were not disappointed! This beer is dry with a ton of hoppy flavor. You’ll be able to taste mouth-watering hints of grapefruit, pine, and spice.
Be sure to visit their James Street location for a family-friendly taproom, a dog-friendly outdoor beer garden, and rotating food trucks. Plus, you can check out their website for regular events and local music!
3. Wander Brewing
Wander Brewing’s adventurous name accurately reflects the heartbeat of this business and its globe-trotting owners, Chad and Colleen Kuehl. “Wandering teaches us that not all creatures follow the same path, uniqueness is good and some of the richest life lessons come from the most unexpected places,” the Kuehls state on their website.
Spending most of their married life traveling, the couple has incorporated those rich and unique lessons into their beers— giving each of their beers a name based off the origin of the ingredients used and the area in which the style of beer was created. Enjoy your travel-inspired beer while exploring Bellingham!
4. Aslan Brewing
Known as the Pride of the Organic Northwest, Aslan Brewing Co. not only provides locally crafted beer but has some of the best food in town. Aslan’s commitment to organic ingredients, locally sourced goods, and low-impact practices makes it the perfect spot for a true Bellingham experience.
For those wanting a local sandwich, try the Pacific Northwest Grilled Cheese. It’s full of locally sourced cheeses, fresh baked bread and local tomatoes and arugula. Add some tomato bisque on a cool day or some waffle fries for a fun twist.
Come for happy hour and a beer or a nice lunch with friends and family.
5. Structures Brewing
