Can Allegiant book travel for groups?show details

You may book up to nine (9) passengers on a single itinerary. To book ten (10) or more passengers, multiple reservations are needed to accommodate all travelers.

Can I book a reservation for another person?show details

Yes. When you are booking a ticket for another person on the Web site, fill out his/her information in the travelers details section. Then, when you are prompted to check out, on the payment page of the Web site, simply enter your debit or credit card number, name, billing address, and phone number.

Can I book across both Allegiant and Sun Country?show details

Not yet. Booking systems remain separate for now.

Can I cancel a hotel only booking?show details

Yes. You can do this on your own by going to allegiantair.com->Hotels->View or Modify tour reservation. Please see our cancellation policy for hotel only bookings within our Terms and Conditions.

Can I cancel my bundle?show details

We’re sorry, but bundles are non-refundable. Also, changes in travel dates or your destination may result in an additional charge for one or more items in the bundle.

Can I cancel my hotel or car rental without cancelling my whole itinerary?show details

If you originally purchased a package (air plus hotel or air plus car), you will have to cancel the itinerary and rebook it at the current fares for the flight only.

If you only booked a hotel, you can cancel your room according to our cancellation policy stated in our Terms and Conditions under the "Hotels" subsection.

Can I change the dates on a hotel only booking?show details

No. You’ll need to contact our Customer Care team in order to cancel and re-book your reservation.

Can I change what’s included in a bundle?show details

You can add additional baggage or upgrade your seat, but you won’t have the option to add, decline or change items in a bundle.

Can I get a refund if there has been a death in the family?show details

You can receive a full refund of your ticket purchase if you notify us within 24 hours of your purchase, provided the scheduled time of departure was at least one week (168 hours) away at time of booking. After 24 hours, tickets purchased are non-refundable.

There are no change fees to change your dates of travel if you purchased Trip Flex travel protection, as long as these changes are made at least one hour prior to travel. Otherwise, a standard change fee applies to any ticket changes.

In an effort to keep our fares low for all passengers and to stay competitive, Allegiant does not offer a bereavement exception.

Yes, you can add bags later during the booking process. Additional baggage fees will apply.

Can I purchase or upgrade a bundle at a later date?show details

No. Bundles can only be purchased at the time of the original booking, and you will not have the ability to change your bundle once you’ve booked your trip.

Can I save the names of people who normally travel with me in my ‘Allways Rewards®’ account?show details

Yes, if you normally travel with friends or family you can save their names in your Allways Rewards account. After signing in, click on “Profile” and proceed to the Saved Travelers section. There is no maximum number of names that you can save in your profile. When you do a booking in the website or Allegiant Mobile App these names will be readily available by clicking the “Load Saved Travelers” button.

Can I upgrade my seat if I get a bundle?show details

Yes, you’ll see which seats apply to your bundle in the seat map, but you’ll also have the option to upgrade your seat. You will just need to pay for the difference during checkout.

Can I use a different payment method even though I have saved my preferred credit card in my profile?show details

Yes. During any purchase in our site you can use either the stored payment card or any other card you may have.

Can I use a different traveler name even if I pick one from the list?show details

Yes. During the booking process you need to review the traveler information. If any data needs correction, the fields can be edited in the form. These changes will not be automatically saved to your profile. Complete the booking and come back later to correct the names stored in your profile.

Can Trip Flex be added to existing reservations?show details

No. Trip Flex must be purchased at the time of booking.

Can Trip Flex be added to my existing itinerary?show details

No, Trip Flex must be purchased on the initial booking.

Can Trip Flex be added to only one person on my itinerary?show details

No. Trip Flex must be purchased at the time of booking for all passengers. However, you may book a separate reservation if you want to purchase Trip Flex for only one person in your group.

Can we purchase our tickets at the airport?show details

Travelers are advised to book in advance through the Allegiant Air Web site or customer call center. Airline tickets for same day travel may be purchased at the airport ticket counter based on availability. Airport ticket counter hours are limited and vary by location.

Do I have to get a COVID vaccination to fly on Allegiant?show details

In accordance with current CDC and FAA guidelines for domestic airlines, Allegiant does not require our customers to be vaccinated or show proof of a negative test in order to fly with us.

Do I need to book my flight in advance?show details

Allegiant recommends passengers make flight reservations in advance of travel but we do not require advance purchase or airline tickets. All airline reservations booked within two hours of scheduled departure must be booked at the airport.

Please make your hotel and rental car reservations in advance of your travel dates.

Do I need to buy a seat or will I be assigned a seat?show details

The choice is yours. 

All Allegiant flights feature comfortable, assigned leather seats. For a nominal fee, you can select your seat at the time of reservation, guaranteeing your comfort and location onboard your flight. If you're traveling with a companion, ensure you sit together. If you qualify, you can even book an exit row with increased leg room. For passengers who choose not to pre-purchase a seat assignment at the time of booking:

• When you check in for your flight, (whether online or at the airport), you will be assigned a seat by our system at no cost.
• If you check in online, you will be able to view your assigned seats and upgrade if desired.
• You can change or purchase seats on an existing reservation by visiting Manage Travel or downloading the Allegiant App for iPhone or Android.
• Seat assignments cannot be changed at the airport or once a boarding pass has been printed.

Do I need to confirm my reservation 24 hours prior to departure?show details

No, there is not a need to confirm your reservation prior to departure.

All passengers must Check In and get a boarding pass prior to flight departure.

How to check in for your flight and get a boarding pass:

Online Check-In:
You can check in online starting 24 hours before your flight by visiting Online Check-In. Be sure to verify your seat assignments and bag reservations before you print your paper boarding pass(es).

Mobile Check-In via the Allegiant App:
Download the latest version of the free Allegiant App for iPhone and Android to check in using your mobile phone for convenient, paperless boarding passes. You’ll have the chance to double check your seat assignments and bag reservations during mobile check in starting 24 hour before departure. It's easy!

At the Airport:
Check in at the airport. Some passengers may be required to check in at the airport ticket counter. Airport check-in closes forty-five minutes before departure.

Does Allegiant offer any kind of medical exceptions?show details

If your trip is protected by Allianz Travel Insurance:

If your protection plan includes the Pre-Existing Medical Condition Exclusion Waiver, you can get reimbursed for non-refundable expenses due to a pre-existing medical condition if you meet all of the following requirements:

• Your plan was purchased within 14 days of the date of the first trip payment or deposit;
• You were a U.S. resident when the plan was purchased;
• You were medically able to travel when the plan was purchased; and
• On the plan purchase date, you insured the full non-refundable cost of your trip with us. This includes trip arrangements that will become non-refundable or subject to cancellation penalties between the plan purchase date and the departure date.

If you incur additional non-refundable trip expenses after purchasing your plan, you must insure those costs with Allianz Global Assistance within 14 days of your purchase. If you fail to insure those additional expenses, they will still be subject to the pre-existing medical condition exclusion. Coverage limits may vary based upon your chosen plan. Please review your plan for terms, conditions, and exclusions, including for pre-existing conditions.

Please note that if your protection plan doesn’t cover existing medical conditions, or if you don't meet the requirements for that coverage, keep in mind that any loss due to an existing medical condition will be excluded.

Yes. Allegiant customers may protect their travel from change and cancellation penalties by protecting their trip with Trip Flex (for a nominal fee).

Allegiant customers can also protect their trip with Allianz Travel Insurance. Protection plans can provide benefits for covered situations that may occur before or during your trip, including covered trip cancellations; trip interruptions; medical and dental emergencies; travel delays, lost, stolen, delayed, or damaged baggage; and more. Terms, conditions, and exclusions apply, including for pre-existing conditions.

Does Allegiant participate in TSA Pre Check Program?show details

Yes! Allegiant participates in TSA Pre ✔® program for expedited security screening at select airports nationwide. With TSA Precheck®, there’s no need to remove shoes, belt, or light jacket. Liquids and computers stay in your bag.

Passengers with a Known Traveler Number (KTN) may enter it on the Traveler Information page of the booking path when making a new reservation. Please ensure that the name, date of birth, and other identifying information submitted on the reservation is an exact match to what was provided during enrollment with any of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) trusted traveler programs.

I can’t select a specific name from the list. Why?show details

There are two restrictions that may apply: You can’t use the same name twice in the same booking; or, you can’t use an adult name in the place of a child passenger.

I don’t see a name in the list of saved travelers. Why?show details

If, during a booking, you are expecting to see a Saved Traveler and don’t, try to scroll down in the list. If you still don’t see a name, please complete your booking by filling out the form manually. Come back later to your Profile and add the name to your Saved Travelers list.

I don’t want to see a specific traveler in my profile anymore. What do I do?show details

After signing into Allegiantair.com or the Allegiant Mobile App, click on “Profile” and proceed to the Saved Travelers section. Click the Edit link next to the name you want to delete. Find the Remove Traveler link at the bottom of the form.

I found an error and corrected a name in the list of Saved Travelers in Allways Rewards® account. Will this correct the booking I completed beforehand?show details

No. If you created a booking with incorrect information, fixing the error in your profile will not retroactively correct the data in the previous booking. You need to call our Customer Care team and inform them of the error.

I have canceled a reservation and have credit towards a future flight. How do I use this credit in booking my next flight?show details

I’m flying on other airline but purchased my hotel with Allegiant and couldn’t make the flight. Can you refund my hotel?show details

Unfortunately, if you booked only the hotel with Allegiant, we can’t make arrangements with the other airline to protect your booking.

The saved credit card in my Allegiant Profile is no longer current. What do I do?show details

At any point you can add, modify or delete saved credit cards in your Profile. If the name on the card has changed or the expiration date has passed, log in to your account, scroll down to the Payment Cards section and click the link to edit the card information.

What are bundles?show details

Bundles are packages of popular services frequently purchased together by other passengers like yourself. By choosing a bundle, you’ll not only benefit from a simpler booking process, but you’ll also save money with the bundled discount. Of course, you still have the option to select services a la carte by choosing the basic package and adding services individually.

What are the differences between a hotel package and hotel only bookings?show details

In a package you select first the flights that will take you to your destination and then add a hotel to that reservation. Having the flights and hotel in the same booking allows Allegiant to provide you great savings and also help you in case of flight delays. You can now book hotel only. This booking does not require you to have a flight with Allegiant.

What is Trip Flex?show details

TripFlex^TM  lets you make a one-time change to the date, flight or destination of your reservation, within certain guidelines, with no change fees or cancel fees! TripFlex^TM may only be purchased at the time of booking. Sorry, TripFlex^TM cannot be added to pre-existing reservations. Customers are responsible for any change in price for air, hotel, auto, etc. TripFlex^TM customers who cancel travel will receive a non-refundable credit voucher good for travel on Allegiant to be completed within one year of the date the original itinerary was booked.

With Trip Flex, you can change your itinerary once or even postpone your trip without paying change fees. We know that life can be full of surprises. For a nominal fee, Trip Flex gives you the ultimate peace-of-mind should something unexpected force you to change your travel plans.

• Make a change once to your reservation (date, flight, or destination) with no additional fees.
• You will be responsible for any change in price of airfare, hotel room, rental car or similar travel products but your airline reservation change fees will be waived.
• Modify your itinerary once, up to 1 hour prior to departure for airline ticket purchases, and up to 72 hours prior to departure for air/hotel package purchases.
• While a one-time change or cancellation is permitted, your itinerary is non-refundable.

Still not sure Trip Flex is right for you? You can cancel Trip Flex and receive a full refund up to 24 hours after the original purchase if no modifications have been made to your itinerary.

Cancellations are not permitted within 24 hours of the check-in date and a refund or credit will not be issued. Hotel Only reservations may be canceled for a full refund up to 7 days prior to the check-in date of your stay. Cancellations made less than 7 days but more than 24 hours prior to the check-in date of your stay will receive a refund minus the cost of taxes and fees of the first night hotel stay.

A receipt with confirmation of your itinerary was sent to the email address provided when you booked your travel.

To find your confirmation number online, visit the Manage Travel section of the Allegiant Web site, and select the “Credit/Debit” tab option. Enter your name, date of departure, and the last 4 digits of the card used for payment for immediate access to your trip details.

Trying to check in? You can access your reservation using the last 4 digits of your payment card by visiting Online Check In starting 24 hours prior to scheduled departure.

Don’t see your upcoming trip in your Allegiant account? To protect your privacy, unless you were logged in at the time you make a new reservation, we won’t automatically add a trip to your account. You can add an existing reservation to your account by signing in and following the easy prompts.

Why don’t you fly every day?show details

As you may have noticed, we don’t do things like every other airline. We are able to offer you ultra-low fares because we only fly when people want to go. No extra flights to fill up. No fares to raise to make up the difference. That’s why some of our routes are seasonal. And that’s how we provide you non-stop service to your favorite destinations at our unbeatable prices.

Allegiant typically publishes flights 6 to 9 months in advance. When searching for flights on our website calendar, look for the available dates in bold. If the date is not bolded, there are no flights scheduled on that day.

Why is it better to buy a bundle?show details

We created each bundle by combining the services often chosen by passengers like yourself. In addition to a simpler booking process, you’ll also save money by purchasing a bundle than if you were to buy each service individually.

Will I be receiving paper tickets in the mail?show details

No. Allegiant is a ticketless (or e-ticket) airline. You will receive a confirmation via e-mail and can always visit Manage Travel to view, print, email or make changes to your itinerary.

Will I have to pay extra to change or cancel my reservation?show details

No. Your trip will operate exactly as booked. Travelers should continue to use the airline they booked with for all aspects of their travel, including trip management, customer service, and airport services.

Will routes or schedules change during the Allegiant + Sun Country integration?show details

There are no immediate changes. Any future updates will be communicated in advance.

Will you be sending emails to my saved travelers or selling their information to third parties?show details

No. We value your privacy. The list of Saved Travelers is created in your Allegiant profile and has the sole purpose of making your life easier while booking. We will not email or sell your Saved Travelers list in any situation.
